ജനുവരി ഒന്നിന് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച് പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഓഹരിവിപണിയില്‍ ലിസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത കമ്പനികളുടെ അഞ്ചു ശതമാനംവരെ ഓഹരികള്‍ മാത്രമേ വിദേശപൗരന്മാര്‍ക്ക് വാങ്ങാവൂ. 
ധനകാര്യ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള കര്‍മസമിതി നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുന്ന മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങള്‍ പാലിക്കുകയും വിദേശരാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ സ്ഥിരതാമസമാക്കിയ വ്യക്തികളോ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളോ സംഘങ്ങളോ ആയിരിക്കണം നിക്ഷേപകര്‍.

നിലവിലുള്ള ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ്/മൊബീല്‍ ബാങ്കിംഗിനെ പറ്റി അല്ല പരാമര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്, പുതുതായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ പോകുന്ന ഐ‌എം‌പി‌എസ് (IMPSഇന്റര്‍ബാങ്ക് മൊബൈല്‍ പേയ്‌മെന്റ് സര്‍വീസ്) എന്ന പുതുനിര സേവനത്തെ പറ്റിയാണ്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉള്ള മൊബൈല്‍ ബാങ്കിംഗില്‍ വളരെ പരിമിതമായ സൌകര്യങ്ങളെ അനുവദിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ, എന്നാല്‍ IMPS സംവിധാനം വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള ഒട്ടേറെ സേവനങ്ങളെ ഒരു കുടക്കീഴില്‍ ആക്കികൊണ്ടാണ് വരുന്നത്. ഭാരതീയ റിസര്‍വ് ബാങ്ക് ഇത് അംഗീകരിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്ന് നടപ്പില്‍ വരുത്താന്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ ബാങ്കുകളെ ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടിയിട്ട് ഇന്നേ വരെ രാജ്യത്ത് പൊതുമേഖലാ/സഹകരണ/ സ്വകാര്യ ബാങ്കുകള്‍ എല്ലാം കൂടി 35 കോടി വ്യക്തിഗത എസ് ബി അക്കൌണ്ട് മാത്രമേ തുറന്നിട്ടുള്ളൂ. പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് വിദൂ‍രഗ്രാമങ്ങളില്‍ ഇന്നേ വരെ ഒരു ബാങ്ക് ശാഖപോലും എത്തിയിട്ടുമില്ല. അതേ സമയം ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ 15 വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ 70 കോടി ജനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഗ്രാമ നഗര ഭേദമില്ലാതെ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണ്‍ എത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. പുതിയ നീക്കത്തിലൂലൂടെ ഇതുവരെ ബാങ്കിംഗ് സേവനം എത്താത്ത അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ബാങ്കിലേക്ക് പോകാന്‍ മടിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന സമൂഹത്തെ കൂടി ബാങ്കിംഗ് ശ്രംഖലയില്‍ കൊണ്ട് വരാന്‍ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.
